BDS (Business Development Services)

Concept of Multi Stakeholders Dialogue

Within the focus sectors, i.e. tourism, wood products, natural plant products, garment & textile, and ICT (information and communication technology) the BDS component of SPEED Ghana pays special attention to sector-wide issues that go beyond the BDS market per se.

Key stakeholders include representatives from the private sector, including business associations and individual enterprises, government representatives from the ministries, departments and agencies, development partners from different development projects and donor organizations, civil society and labor representatives. Through a structured round-table dialogue between these stakeholders, bottlenecks are identified and analyzed, and remedies to overcome these bottlenecks are formulated and where possible implemented by the stakeholders themselves.

The role of SPEED Ghana is facilitating the multi stakeholders dialogue process, whereas the ownership this process is with its stakeholders. Furthermore, SPEED Ghana may consider the implementation of specific recommendations under the IDEAS component.
